After years of traveling to festival and concert
performances with his wife, Diana, they decided to settle down and
get day jobs. Diana is officially retired from performing, preferring
to spend her free time with her first love, art.
Meanwhile, Kelly stays engaged as a player, performer and producer.
While he used to spend much of his time with a fiddle in his hand,
he has shifted back toward the guitar lately, because of its range
and potential as a solo instrument. While he still makes outings with
his pioneer music programs that feature vocals, fiddle, spoons, etc.,
he has been staying closer to home lately. A favorite venue has been
art shows and openings, where casual listening audiences can sit down
and enjoy some subtle guitar playing. Included at some of these venues
has been his daughter, Molly, who visits home on occasional breaks
from her college violin studies in New York. |
